ABOUT KATE
I like to design products that make people laugh, because I want to bring humor into life and help people be kids again. I'm the person you'll see chosing a comedy over a drama, an improv class over a computer class, and I'll go to any local wacky event you can find. I believe If you can make people laugh, then you've already sold your product.
And that's exactly what's happened to me.
For over a decade I published my own humorous greeting cards and serviced over 2,000 accounts, including Barnes and Noble, Whole Foods Markets and Papyrus. I then transitioned into licensing where I now have over 200 products in Target, Cost Plus, Michael's and many independent retailers.
In my spare time I photograph funny Berkeley street art, make spoof greeting cards based on the national news, and coordinate a local artist's support group. I also write a blog on Greeting Card Design, volunteer at GTU theology school, and am active in the podcast and new media community.
