HOW TO SUBMIT:

-Email submissions to: quotesub@aol.com Subject line: Quote Submission

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT KINDS OF QUOTES SHOULD I SEND?

Send edgy quotes with a twist of humor. Don't be afraid to take risks and tell the truth. Pet voices, technology, women’s humor, parenthood, birthday, thank you and holidays are all good subjects. See art samples below.

HOW DO I GET IDEAS ON WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT?

-What does a woman with an attitude say?

-What about a "mom" with an attitude?

-What have you said lately, that made someone laugh?

-What drives you nuts?

-What do you want to scream out loud to the world, that seems obvious, but nobody is paying attention?

-What do you secretly wish you could say to your friend, husband, inlaws?

-What do you not understand about people younger than you?

-What is the best thing about your spouse?

-Think of a child you know. What would you say to them if they felt discouraged?

-Think of someone who did something nice for you lately. What did you say to them?

-Tell me about your pet in relation to your life "My Cat thinks..." "My dog doesn't understand..."

-What funny thing do you have to say about computers, social media and the tech world?

-Another idea is to finish the sentence:

If I could do it all over again...,

I used to____but now___,

Can someone tell me why...,

Whatever happened to...,

No one told me that...,

my husband thinks...,

my kids think...,

My cat thinks....

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Since it's very difficult to inform writers of the status of their submissions at any point of time, it's fair to say, that if you don't hear back in a month, your submission probably can't be used. I have also made a list of other companies that buy text, with links to their guidelines (scroll to bottom of page).

WHAT ARE CONTRACT RIGHTS & COMPENSATIONS?

Unlike most publishers, Kate Harper Designs does not require exclusive rights. Compensation varies, but the average is about $50 per quote.
